The Ventura County Sheriff's Station Jail Booking
Process
When a person is arrested at the Ventura
County Sheriff's Jail, there is a
"Booking Process".
That must be completed before a Bail Bondsman
can post a Bail Bond on behave
of the inmate. Once in custody of
the Ventura County Jail, the
Jailer will take inventory of the
arrestee's belongings searching for weapons, drugs,
paraphernalia or any other threats. Then the
Jailer runs a background check
through the "Live Scan" system on the individual
to check for warrants and probation / parole holds.
This process can take several hours depending on
the workload of the Jailers.
At this point some Jails will allow
the inmate to make a phone call prior to
being assigned to a Jail Cell;
other Jails have phones within
the cells. Some inmates will try
to contact a loved one or a Bail Bonds Company
directly (we take collect calls). Whichever
way it may be, the faster Ventura County
Bail Bonds .Net is contacted the faster
we can start the Bail Bond Process.
